Last week, Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health announced that in order to protect the health and safety of their staff and guests, they would close their physical doors through 2020. In order to continue their mission and provide the tools of yoga to the largest number of people, Kripalu will transition to a fully online platform through the end of the year. To keep the institution as financially healthy as possible, 90% of the staff — nearly 450 employees (myself included) — will be laid off. This is challenging news for so many that call Kripalu “home”.
Many years ago, during another difficult transition in the institution’s journey, Danna Faulds, unofficial poet laureate of Kripalu, dedicated this beautiful, hopeful and inspiring poem, “Lineage Holders”, to all those who are part of its path.
You can find this poem, and many others, in Danna Faulds’ book, One Soul, available on Amazon and via email at yogapoems@aol.com.
